EMBODIMENT & Trauma Informed COACHING

“WHAT WE DON’T NEED IN THE MIDST OF STRUGGLE IS SHAME FOR BEING HUMAN”-BRENE BROWN

FAQs

  • A trauma-informed coach acknowledges the impact of past traumatic events on your nervous system and helps you work through maladaptive responses that may hinder progress. They guide you in taking actionable steps towards your goals and assist in discovering your purpose.

Mindset shifts alone may not be sufficient for sustainable change, and they help you navigate the complexities of healing and growth with compassion and understanding.

  • Coaching and therapy serve distinct but complementary purposes. While therapy often focuses on healing past wounds and addressing mental health concerns, coaching is oriented towards growth, self-development, and achieving specific goals. Coaching can indeed be a game changer for individuals who may not feel comfortable in a therapy setting or who have already undergone therapy but feel stuck in certain areas of their lives. Having someone to support you through the emotional and physical discomforts of change can accelerate your progress towards your desired outcomes, whether it’s a career change, relocation, pursuing creative endeavors, or any other life goal.

  • My journey is a testament to the resilience and commitment to personal growth I have. Completing my Somatic Experiencing Coaching certificate in 2020 and Body therapy in 2022. I continue to invest in my own self-development, and not only empowering myself but also gaining the tools to support others on their journeys.

Having overcome religious abuse, childhood trauma, relational abuse, betrayal trauma, and eating disorders, I bring a depth of understanding and empathy to my coaching practice. My holistic approach, grounded in both personal experience and scientific understanding, emphasizes the importance of creating safe spaces for emotional authenticity and genuine connection.

I belief in the power of being truly felt, heard, and seen. By guiding others through their own healing processes, helping others move towards living their best lives and experiencing greater wholeness and authenticity.

  • Lasting change happens slowly and with consistency. There’s no magic pill! But, how coaching will potentially change your life is by giving you co-regulation and a felt sense of being supported.

Changes coaching may give will depend on you level of commitment to the process and whether you are prepared to launch even under discomfort and fear of failure. A coach is there to remind you to believe in yourself and be seen in the messiness of your human experience without judgement or shame.
